More than 25 years of experience and traditional craftsmanship is the cornerstone on which the vera donna bookbindery and company founder Stefania Polch are embarking on a new era of bookbinding. As a family business that relies only on hand-picked suppliers, we have set ourselves the task of combining sophisticated bookbinding with new ideas and concepts.
As a producer for wholesale and retail and also for end customers, we see ourselves as your partner for high-quality bookbinding art. Exquisite quality does not only result from special features such as hand-torn paper, Italian full beef leather or fine pergamine paper.
It is the tasteful composition in Italian design, which produces an exquisite unique piece from many details. The products of the vera donna bookbindery, whether guest books, photo albums, poetry books, document and presentation folders or diaries, are made only from high-quality materials and are all handmade.
For Vera Donna, tradition is not a dusty term but a sign of quality. That’s why almost all products are traditionally processed and manufactured. The finest parchments and papers, which have not been hastily glued together, but are connected by thread stitching with millimetre precision, thus become imperishable masterpieces that last for generations. Not all paper is the same, because production alone can be the true art form.
Traditional craftsmanship is an art that captivates the hand and eye and arouses emotions.” (Stefania Polch)
Vera Donna bookbinding combines Italian subtlety with craftsmanship. That’s why we offer a wide range of papers and parchments. Whether impressive parchment structures from Nepal, marble papers from Italy produced in special casting processes, handmade or hand-torn papers – we work worldwide with suppliers whose materials have inspired for generations.
